MPHU 360

The counterweight-balanced mechanical pumping hydraulic unit is a new technology for artificial lift which combines the versatility of hydraulic systems, in the areas of asymmetric variation of speeds and travel variation, with the reliability of the balance exercised by a counterweight using a system of cables and pulleys. Thus, we have managed to implement a machine that has considerable travel (360 inches), which is able to complete four cycles per minute, and exerts up to 59,000 pounds of force in the polished rod.

These machines are comprised of a hydraulic power unit, a pedestal, a hydraulic actuator, two pulleys, a counterweight and a cable that holds it, which passes through the system of pulleys and is fixed to the carrier bar.
